Doggie Coats

You might remember my friend, Diana, who has a sister, Carolyn, who sews.  Actually, she has many sisters and, well, both Diana and Carolyn quilt and sew.  One day Carolyn - out of the blue - sent my Sophie ...

a jacket with a southwestern theme, made of fleece.  The only problem was that it was a tad small for Sophie.  I always call her my barrel-chested girl.  So Carolyn had to make another one for Sophie and Jack...

got the first one.  Recently Carolyn made the absolutely most beautiful doggie jackets out of used clothing, wool pieces.  The ones she sent over were for large dogs and I tried to find a model (Diana wouldn't agree to do it), but couldn't so you will just have to imagine a dog in these jackets.

My mother would have described them as being "smart."  They are really beautiful, sharply made, and I immediately ordered two for my little dogs.

Can't wait to see them.  I imagine they will be of different fabric, and Carolyn does such impeccable work - can't wait to see them!
