Back to Second Grade...

Today I went to Kate's (my oldest daughter) second grade class and helped with their "End of the School Year Party." I brought pizza and donut holes and then we played games. They are all excited about only having two more days of school. My youngest daughter, Kimberly, also went along and the kids absolutely loved her. I think they just enjoyed having guests in their classroom. They asked us questions like (1) how old are you? (2) do you have a boyfriend? (3) do you have a car, (4) do you own a pit bull or a chihuahua? (5) do you work? They were impressed with my working for a lawyer, but then said "what's that?" There is a lot of energy in that room. We had a good time and it was nice to finally put names and faces together after hearing about the kids all year. I am looking forward to meeting her kids next year.

We don't know where Katie will be next year - keep praying that she gets a permanent position. These kids were so much fun that day. Thanks for your very kind comments! Most of them loved their bookmarks because Katie wrote a specific message to each child. I think that's what they liked. Although one told me he didn't like to read. :)
